Terms and Conditions - The Greatest Quiz
By participating in the “TheGreatestQuiz” (hereinafter referred to as “the Contest”), you (i.e. “the Contestant”) accept and agree to the following:
· This Contest is organized by AETN18 Media Private Limited ("AETN18") and shall commence from 11am, 27th June, 2012 and shall close at 1pm, 27th June, 2012 ("Contest Period")
· This Contest is open only to Indian Citizens, resident in India. Contestant must be aged 18 years or over at the time of entry into the Contest. Contestant below the age of 18 years must obtain their parent’s or guardian’s consent before entering the Contest. This Contest is not open for employees and/or family members of AETN18 or any other Network18 Media and Investments Limited group companies
· The Contestant agrees to provide complete and correct information with respect to his/her identity, contact details, age, education, profession and such other information as may be required by AETN18. AETN18 has the right at any time to ask the Contestant to provide proof of identity and/or eligibility (which may include asking for a copy of your itemised telephone bill). If proof of identity and/or eligibility has been asked for, failure to provide such proof by Contestant immediately could result in his/her disqualification from the Contest and/or the withdrawal of Prize at the sole discretion of AETN18. n.com ("Website").
· The Contestant can participate in this Contest in the following manner:
. The Contestant revert to Tweets on Twitter as answers to questions posed by the Twitter Handle History_India which is the official handle of History India
. The AETN18 team will review all the Content and shall select a max of 25 winners every week during the Contest Period basis factors like creativity of the photograph and caption used
. The Weekly Contest Prize shall comprise of AETN18/History TV18 merchandise ("Prize").
. The winner will be declared withen 24 hours of the contest period as a Tweet from the Twitter Handle History_India
· AETN18 makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as regards the Prize and/or the Mega Prize, its colour, condition, its fitness for a particular purpose, etc. Upon being declared a winner of this Contest, the winner will be required to comply with the following pre-requisites prior to being handed over the Prize
. Furnishing name, address, age, sex, contact number
. Photo identity card, pan card copy, address proof
. Identity proof, along with a declaration cum receipt stating the receipt of Prize and/or Mega Prize is full and final.
· Upon complying with the conditions as stated in point 6 above by the winner, the winner would be required to collect the Prize from the location/place as shall be intimated by AETN18. The Prize an would be delivered/handed over to the winner only after proper identification, verification.
· AETN18 shall not be responsible for the colour, make, quality, delivery, deficiency of any product and/or service, in relation to the Prize in any manner whatsoever
· The Prize shall not be transferable / redeemable for kind. No request shall be entertained by AETN18 in this behalf.
· AETN18 shall contact the winner on the telephone number and/or email address provided by the Contestant to a maximum of three (3) times. In the event that the winner is not available/reachable on the number provided by the Contestant, the winner forfeits his/her right to the Prize and/or the Mega Prize and AETN18 may in its sole discretion hand over the Prize and/or Mega Prize to another winner and the same shall be final and binding
· If the winner does not collect the Prize within fifteen (15) days of intimation of the same, the Prize and/or Mega Prize shall unconditionally and irrevocably lapse and the winner will cease to have any right, interest or claim in the Prize and/or Mega Prize.
· The Prize and/or the Mega Prize is subject to the laws of India.
· All right, title, claim and interest in the promotional material(s) and any/all entries received shall vest solely and exclusively with AETN18 at all times.
· AETN18 is not responsible in case of any network/technical problem, interruption or disturbance to Contestant’s entries and/or the costs charged by the service provider. Any dispute in connection to the same should be settled directly between the subscriber and the service provider without involving AETN18 in the same.
· AETN18 shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that maybe suffered, or for any personal injury that maybe suffered, as a result of participating in this Contest or using any Prize
· AETN18 accepts no responsibility for any variation in the Prize or the features of the Prize shown anywhere including the Website and not limiting to television, newspaper, radio or any other form of media.
· AETN18 accepts no responsibility if the Prize shipment does not reach in its actual form
· The decision of AETN18 management shall be final and binding and is non-contestable. No correspondence will be entertained on the same.
· AETN18 reserves the right to change/modify, alter or cancel this Contest in part or in full or change any or all of the terms and conditions and/or criteria of this Contest at any time at its own discretion and without any prior notice/intimation and without assigning any reason and will not be liable for any consequential losses/damages.
· Taxes and levies on winnings may be imposed by Central, State and Local government authorities from time to time and Contest winners are fully responsible in this regard for the same.
· All costs and expenses for collecting the Prize will be borne by the winner and no claim of whatsoever nature will be entertained by AETN18 in this regard.
· AETN18 shall not be liable for any loss, damage, theft, or any other mishap caused to the Prize after handing over the same to the winner.
· In case of any dispute or difference in respect of this Contest, the decision of AETN18 shall be final and binding on all concerned.
· All contests shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India. All matters with respect to this Contest are subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts at Mumbai only.
· Participation in this Contest implies acceptance of all the terms and conditions of this Contest and any amendments thereto.
